Crochet is hard and usually frustrating in the beginning. I empathize with students and help them make light of it, often telling them frustration means they are doing it right or if you feel like you need to have 8 arms like an octopus, you’re on the right track. Learning new things take time and practice. I encourage students to get through the difficult part and find the joy in fiber arts. I have had many students tell me thank you for not letting them give up, often these are the students who have stuck with the craft to the advanced levels.
Since this is a flex class, there are no scheduled live meetings; however, I am available to answer questions any time during the 4 weeks of class. I will also share the tips and tricks I have learned over the last decade of teaching kids to crochet. Suggestions and encouragement are always provided, I love to see my students successful and can say I’ve never had a child give up and not learn.
It is my goal for each student to complete my crochet classes with the skills and excitement to further their skills.
